Diabetes and endocrine diseases

Diabetes is a condition in which the body cannot properly use carbohydrates in food because the pancreas does not produce enough insulin or cannot produce insulin at all.
The endocrine system is one of the most important systems that controls various bodily functions such as growth, movement, and reproduction, in addition to its role in regulating metabolism. The endocrine system consists of a group of endocrine glands that secrete a number of hormones. These hormones travel through the blood to all body tissues, activating target tissues to perform their specific functions. The endocrine system consists of a number of glands, the most prominent of which are: the thyroid gland, the parathyroid glands, the pituitary gland, the adrenal gland, and the pancreas.
